Pool Safety System Provides Parents Advance Warning before a Child Falls into
the Pool.

Point Industries, a leader in voice security technology, has targeted its new
Wireless Voice Alert 3100 Notification System at America’s consumer pool
market. Comprised of a wireless motion
sensor and patented voice notification system, the Voice Alert 3100 is designed
to provide remote, in home voice alerts to a child’s movement in or around the
monitored pool area. This alert will
enable an immediate adult response prior to the child entering the water.
Each
year, more than 450 children under the age of nine drown in residentially owned
pools. Another 6500 children are
medically treated in hospitals and emergency rooms for near-drownings. A study by the Consumer Product Safety
Commission found that in California, Arizona and Florida, drowning was the
leading cause of accidental death in and around the home for children under the
age of 5 years. Nearly half of the
child victims were last seen in the house before the pool accident occurred.

The Voice Alert receiver records up to three unique messages and can
support an unlimited number of motion sensors.
Each motion sensor features lightweight all-weather construction and
monitors a 40x40-foot area. The sensors
transmit their signal up to 300 feet through walls and up to 1000 feet in open
space.
